Palmer, Edwin H.

Edwin H. Palmer (1922-1980) was a pastor, educator, and author. A graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary and the Free University of Amsterdam, he  pastored three curches in Michigan. For four years he was an instructor in systematic theology at Westminster. He also wrote The Five Points of Calvinism.

Burk Parsons is senior pastor of Saint Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Florida, chief publishing officer for Ligonier Ministries, editor of Tabletalk magazine, and a Ligonier Ministries teaching fellow.


Payne, Brenda

Brenda Payne is an ACBC-certified biblical counselor. She trained under Lou Priolo and served for a number of years as a biblical counselor at Eastwood Presbyterian Church.


Peace, Martha

Martha Peace is a biblical counselor and conference speaker, as well as a bestselling author. She lives with her husband, Sanford, in Peachtree City, Georgia.



Perron, Sean

Sean Perron (MDiv, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is the associate pastor at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. He is a certified biblical counselor who has a specialization in marriage counseling, and he was previously the director of operations at the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). He and his wife, Jennifer, have one son.


Peterson, David G.

David G. Peterson is an emeritus faculty member of Moore Theological College in Sydney, Australia, where he teaches New Testament and a course on worship. He served as principal of Oak Hill College in London from 1996 to 2007.


Peterson, Robert A.

Robert A. Peterson (MDiv, Biblical Theological Seminary; PhD, Drew University) was professor of systematic theology at Covenant Seminary for more than twenty-five years. He has served seven churches as an interim pastor and is the author of a number of books, including Hell on Trial, Adopted by God, and Election and Free Will.


Petty, James C.

James C. Petty (MDiv, DMin, Westminster Theological Seminary) is emeritus director of the Children’s Jubilee Fund.


Phillips, Richard D.

Richard D. Phillips (MDiv, Westminster Theological Seminary; DD, Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary) is the senior minister of Second Presbyterian Church of Greenville, South Carolina. The author of over forty books, he is coeditor of the Reformed Expository Commentary series, a trustee of Westminster Theological Seminary, and a council member of the Gospel Reformation Network.



Pol, Allen Vander

Allen Vander Pol received the MDiv degree from Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia. He has served as pastor of churches in the United States and New Zealand and has taught Bible and theology in Nigeria and Ukraine.


Powlison, David

David Powlison (MDiv, Westminster Theological Seminary; MA, PhD, University of Pennsylvania) was executive director of the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation in Glenside, Pennsylvania, and the editor of the Journal of Biblical Counseling. He taught at Westminster Theological Seminary and was a board member and fellow of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors.


Poythress, Ransom

Ransom Poythress (MA, Westminster Theological Seminary; PhD, Boston University) is an assistant professor of biology at Houghton College in western New York, with a research focus on the molecular mechanisms of smooth muscle contractile physiology. Poythress is a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church of America. He and his wife, Lisbeth, live near the college campus where they minister to students.


Poythress, Vern S.

Vern S. Poythress (MLitt, University of Cambridge; PhD, Harvard University; DTh, University of Stellenbosch, South Africa) is distinguished professor of New Testament, biblical interpretation, and systematic theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He has authored books on a wide range of topics; his works include Symphonic TheologyTheophany, and The Mystery of the Trinity.


Pratt, Richard L., Jr.

Richard L. Pratt Jr. (MDiv, Union Theological Seminary; ThD, Harvard University) is president of Third Millennium Ministries. He was a professor at Reformed Theological Seminary for over twenty years and is the author of Pray with Your Eyes Open, He Gave Us Stories, and Every Thought Captive.



Priolo, Lou

Lou Priolo (1954–2023) was a full-time biblical counselor for nearly forty years, the author of many counseling books and resources, and an international speaker who encouraged and equipped pastors in biblical counseling. A fellow of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, he last served as counseling pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
