Are you wrestling with your mind today? Are you stuck in less-than-holy thinking? Are you haunted by dark thoughts or troubled by thoughts that contain some confusing mix of suffering and sin?

If you find yourself wrestling with a mind that is not yet made whole, consider a few words of encouragement.

As you strive to think holier thoughts, Jesus, through his single sacrifice, has already made you perfect forever (Hebrews 10:14).

You are in process and already forgiven. Your mind is still being sanctified, but in Christ, you are already the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21).

God has written his law on your mind, and as you seek to follow him, he remembers your sin no more (Hebrews 10:15-16). In Christ, every thought that needs forgiveness is already forgiven.

One day, we will live in a new earth with fully renewed minds. As we wait for that day, we can be encouraged that Jesus has offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins (Hebrews 10:12). All time includes today. You can leave your guilty conscience behind and approach God with confidence (Hebrews 10:22). He offers you rest in eternity, and that rest can begin in your mind today.
