Ten Years Later We Remember

As we draw near to the 10th anniver­sary of this tragic day in America’s his­tory, P&R wants to know what you think of it all as you look back and recall the many emo­tions of that day.

A book­let was writ­ten shortly after the events of 9/11 that addressed some of the deeper ques­tions that are brought to the sur­face dur­ing life-changing events such as these: Where Was God On Sep­tem­ber 11? by John Blan­chard (which can be found at sev­eral retailers).

Where were you when it hap­pened? What were your ini­tial thoughts and reac­tions? Ten years later, how do you think and feel about it all? What does 9/11 mean for you?

A FINAL THOUGHT: the scrip­ture verse below from Lamen­ta­tions offers us hope and encour­age­ment through times such as these. In Christ Jesus, we have hope even in the dark­est of times! His love is unfail­ing and he is faith­ful in all things. Praise God!

Lamen­ta­tions 3:20–23: I well remem­ber them, and my soul is down­cast within me. Yet this I call to mind and there­fore I have hope: Because of the LORD’s great love we are not con­sumed, for his com­pas­sions never fail. They are new every morn­ing; great is your faithfulness.
